Miles seems to be packing on the ounces!!! Yesterday, my mom and I noticed that he's getting a little double chin, and his cheeks are filling out a bit more... He's a sweet heart and very mellow most of the time, although he's starting to challenge us at night. The boy just DOES NOT want to go to sleep when we do. Ah well. what can you do. Mom and Dad are just going to be exhausted for a while...

Well, he's arrived. I don't have the energy to werite out the full story of what happened--and in some ways it's really not important now--but suffice to say, Miles has arrived and he's absolutely amazing. Brian and I are completely transformed by his presence in our lives. We couldn't be happier, or more tired:)

Here are the stats:

Miles was born Saturday night 3-4-06, by cesarean section (the induction did not work.) He was 6 lbs. 4 oz. and 18 inches long. He has a very cool birth mark on the top of his head and a very hip hair do. Here are a few of photos of him. I'll post more very soon. Love to all of you....

Time ticks away... the baby has hiccups and I'm having contractions at the same time which doesn't feel altogether good... I'm doing last minute nesting-type stuff like washing baby clothes, straightening the house because i can't stand to come back to a messy one, and gathering together stuff to bring to the hospital. Of course I'm putting together a good musical selection. I made a mix today. Lots of mellow guitary-folky-type stuff. I'll also bring some of my faves like wilco, m. ward, iron and wine, sufjan, the new death cab. -stuff that calms me. wish I had the new Cat Power. Anyone want to bring it to me??

I'm feeling very nervous and unsettled. -Normal, I'm sure. I can't wait until Brian and I are home with Mr. Baby and can begin our new life.

and I'd kill for a glass of wine right now...hehe....
